Shock Testing

Classical, pneumatic, and drop shock

Shock Testing

DynaQual provides shock testing using two primary methods: electrodynamic (ED) shaker testing for controlled, repeatable pulses, and pneumatic shock testing via VST (Emerson) equipment for high-g, high-fidelity shock environments. These services support military, aerospace, and commercial applications by identifying structural weaknesses, validating design margins, and confirming compliance. Classical Shock on the ED shaker applies precisely controlled shock pulses to verify structural integrity and functional robustness against industry and military shock requirements. Pneumatic Shock on the VST machine generates high-g, short-duration shock pulses that realistically replicate severe impact events for military and aerospace validation. Drop Testing on the Lansmont PDT-300 performs controlled flat, edge, and corner drops simulating real-world handling impacts and verifying compliance with ISTA and carrier requirements.

Highlights

  • Classical Shock: ED shaker, half-sine / sawtooth / trapezoidal pulses
  • Pneumatic Shock: Emerson VST machine for high-g, short-duration pulses
  • Drop Testing: Lansmont PDT-300, flat / edge / corner drops
  • Shock response spectrum (SRS) synthesis on electrodynamic shaker
  • Functional verification before, during, and after each event
